Well the team is just over 3 months old now and we have just cemented our place in Division 3 with the signing of our new captain Okamoto Yukio. Things have been a bit shaky over the last few days and a drop to Div 4 looked likely. It was the first race for Yukio this morning and he stormed home with the win thus launching us back up the rankings to 149th place.
Rob has come under some strong criticism over the past 3 months firstly for having a team with an average age only usually seen in an old people home. Then the never ending hiring and firing of riders.
There was method in this madness and after the constant transfers of older riders he has made enough cash to hire a great Hill Captain Yukio and LO team under 31 to support him. Then on the 30th after the last 2 transfers re-hire our old Sprint captain Arne De Brouwer from Benfica Cycling Team before they disband.
The selling of Arne was probably one of the biggest mistakes made by Rob as he planned to use the cash to finish training Gilbert Fondren. His potential to almost equal Arne but also having the benefit of youth. This plan back fired later that day when Gilbert maxed with only 202 sprint points and a 43 Av.
We feel very lucky at getting a second chance with Arne and have agreed to finish his training even though he is already 30 years old. Some people may think this is crazy but for only 41k he could be a 53Av and with 221 sprint points already in place would be a force to reckon with.

When I have the cash I have been hitting the refresh button on the released transfer list about 5000 times a day. It's amazing who you can pick up that teams release!!
Most of my success is due to being off work sick for 2 months now. All I do is play this game and watch bloody daytime TV!!
